VISUAL MEDIA TO SUPPORT THE BUSINESS SIDE OF SPORT
Having some fun photos for players to look at after the game is great…… but it can be so much more than this.
The reality is that clubs and sporting organisations still have to pay the bills, and develop the business side of their organisation. A properly managed media strategy, with quality content can greatly enhance this aspect of a club’s performance.
I welcome the chance to discuss this further with clubs showing where some opportunities may exist.
ADDING VALUE WITH QUALITY MEDIA
Most clubs rely on some sort of sponsorship. Presumably those sponsors are proud of their support of your club, so hy not use photos to help them promote that association. It can really help with developing the closeness of the relationship with those sponsors. It can also have the added benefit of them coincidently giving more public exposure to your club.
Another way of using quality photos is in promotion of events, or even including photos with each communication to members to catch their attention. Try to include you own branding as part of the photos as well.
Another idea is to use photos as a fund raising activity. I would be pleased to talk about supporting a strategy where if the club promotes print sales for example, a percentage of sales could be returned to the club.
Another popular promotion is to provide framed prints to medal winners at presentation ceremonies.
The opportunities are extensive and can greatly benefit the clubs.
